Very Rare French 18th/19th Century Buire Jarre Vals de Saine

This is just a wonderful piece of French rustic slipware pottery.

It dates to either the 18th or 19th Century, these are commonly referred to as a Cruche.

They were used to keep their contents cool, usually used for water,wine and olive oil.

Its very heavy and stands 34 cm tall. As you can see it has so much character and is beautifully decorated
