Large French Unusual Still Life Framed Painting

This was sourced very early morning on a French antique fair in northern France.

I was immediately struck by this unusual still life painting. Its painted on board and set in an oak frame which dates it to around 1940.

50.5 x 50 cm.

There are a few small scratches to the frame.
