Large French 19th Century Oil on Canvas Painting

Yes its distressed, but I couldn’t resist it.

I spotted the top shelf with the cross and plates from a distance and was hooked straight away.

It was really dusty but I knew underneath it was an interesting painting! With a very light clean the colours came shining through.

The surface is now totally stable and there will be no more paint loss.

It measures 90 x 60 cm.

Even the construction on the back is good
